Hey! Why am I not on the alumni list? I may have left the church, but you can't take away my mission!!! ;) I had a wonderful time, met so many interesting people and I had the time of my life... I watched the clock tick over to 2007 this year and I can't believe it's been 20 YEARS... How did *that* happen? I've been thinking a lot about the old mission days this spring and I went searching for info and I found this site...
I left Utah for California (Los Angeles) about 10 years ago and I just love it here. I've been working for a large behemoth corporation and have decided I'm tired of being a cog in the corporate machine, so this fall I'm planning to go back to school, with a medical specialty in acupuncture and Chinese herbology. I have a couple of half-finished screenplays and novels (can't live in Hollywood for very long without *those*) and am generally just enjoying life as a free spirit these days. I'll leave my email address here, I would love for any of my old comps, friends, members, non-members, saints or sinners to look me up. It would be great to catch up with some of ya's.
I was saddened to read of Sister Smith's passing. My heart goes out to President Smith and his family. I lived/worked the last couple of months of my mission in the home/office and learned to love them like my own family. Warm thoughts and prayers to them.
Namaste,
Scott (f/k/a Elder) Van Tussenbrook
